Mountain Designs GeoQuest New Zealand is held in a new location each year with the location announced at the start of May. The course itself will only be revealed to teams the day before the start of the race.
Headquarters for the 2024 edition of Mountain Designs GeoQuest New Zealand will be based in Napier with courses set among the stunning rivers, parks and forests of the Hawke’s Bay region. This is where teams will register, receive the course and is the location of the finish line and presentations.

Few places in the world have such a broad representation of the Stripped Classical, Spanish Mission, and Art Deco styles within such a confined area, which is why the city has deservedly become known as the Art Deco Capital.
